Instabill Founder and CEO Jason Field has joined the Operation Airway Team from Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, participating in the 2018 Boston Marathon, to raise funds in honor of his late brother, Dr. Richard Field, and his late fiancée, Dr. Lina Bolanos.
Mr. Field has partnered with the Operation Airway Team to raise money geared toward funding missions for Mass Eye and Ear specialists to Colombia, Ms. Bolanos’ native country, to perform essential airway surgeries on children and families which cannot afford such procedures.
Mr. Field is among 20 members of the Operation Airway Team running the Marathon, slated for Monday, Apr. 16.
“I am very, very pleased to join the Operation Airway Team and to run the Boston Marathon,” said Mr. Field. “It is something that has been on my bucket list for years, but that I have never been able to do. I am happy to honor Richard and Lina with this wonderful and critical cause.”
The Goal for the Boston Marathon: Raise $15,000 for treatment, research
Mr. Field has begun training for his first marathon and is hopeful of raising $15,000 toward the Operation Airway Team goal of $300,000.
Funds raised through the Operation Airway team will not only enable Mass Eye and Ear specialists to perform procedures on children who have difficulty speaking, breathing and swallowing, but monies will also benefit airway research.
